Hello! My name is Deborah. I love animals great and small and I have affectionately become known as the "Pet Whisperer" among my friends and clients. I am highly intuitive, nurturing and dependable and use those qualities in the care of your pets and farm animals. I serve the area in Middle Tennessee around the Natchez Trace Parkway including Leipers Fork and Fernvale. I specialize in overnight and extended stays and can be trusted with not only your pets but with the security and management of your home while you're away.
What makes me the best choice?
I have had a close connection with animals and nature since I was a child. I had a managerie of pets while growing up including, dogs, cats, birds and hamsters. I called my dog my brother if that tells you anything! I have experience with many different types of pets and animals, and I especially love working on farms and ranches. I function well in rustic conditions as well as grand homes with all the amenities. In addition, I have a knack for caring for special needs, elderly or handicapped pets. I can sense when something isn't quite right and I am almost always spot on with what the problem is and am quick to resolve it. Please give me a call to discuss your needs. I love what I do with all my heart and look forward to providing you and your pets with excellent, caring service.
Get to know me.
I started my pet sitting business in 2007 after having worked in the corporate world since college graduation. After being laid off from my last job as computer programmer and suffering a serious stress related illness I vowed to spend the next half of my life following my bliss and feeding my soul by doing that which I love most and excel at, caring for pets and farm animals and helping people. I moved to Middle Tennessee, specifically the area I fell in love with around Leipers Fork, and the rest is history. I am well connected in the area and well liked by all who know me.
I love country living but grew up in the Army so I am highly adaptable and resilient. I have farming blood on both sides of my family. I am also quite fearless (with caution and calm) and don't mind a challenge or hard work. I love horseback riding and enjoy nothing more than a day long trail ride with friends or just a hike through the woods and hills.
In my spare time I volunteer at Saddle Up in Williamson County which helps children with special needs through the use of Equine Facilitated Learning and Equine Assisted Therapy. Some of my favorite hobbies are gardening, crocheting, sewing, DIY projects and crafts. I look forward to getting to know you and building a lasting relationship for years to come.
